There are many oportunities to see wood carved animals. We decided to stop and look. Gerald made a friend instantly. Some even saw the guy in Santa Rosa that makes animals out of natural wook sticks (hundreds in each animal like horses). You may have seen them on the interenett. When asked if he made a living he pointed to a car cover and said his porsche is under it. The guys had no doubt.
The road today was more on highway 101 which is a freeway and can average around 60 MPH. Much easier to cover distance than on the winding Rd along the coast where speeds can average 20 MPH and a lot of second and third gear work.
We are now in Oregon. Maybe Portland tommorrow night.
