Oregon Coast

Sat 8th
Hugh, Gerald & Rory in the redwood forrest.
Today we continued from Coos Bay over the Oregon boarder to Lincoln City.

The ride was faster with mostly highway 101 on the coast and only part on highway 1 which is much more twisting and slow. We get short areas where the coast opens up with a town or just a beach. Often the area is marked with a Tsunami hazard warning. We think they have high king tides. Just beautiful scenery and good riding although cold. We called into Coos Bay Harley Davidson agent and bought warmer gloves or cover boots to keep out the cold. We stayed at Coos Bay which was at one time the largest timber port inthe world. Today tourism is the main industry.

  1. You're now in the Oregon territory Herb and I remember well from living there for 12 months, and can see it all clearly in our heads. Factory outlets at Lincoln City were a regular trip for me!!!
